2:45 pm - Another blessing for Thanksgiving

MSNBC TV just reported that Ann fell down a set of stair and broke her jaw, thus requiring the doctor to...

Peace on Earth, indeed:)

1:01 pm - Who's the Bigger Bitch- Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin?

We can see Ann Coulter for being a rightwing insane blowhard.

But I submit to you a new contender for GOP psychobitch- Michelle Malkin.

This is a woman of Asian (Filipino) heritage who actually comes out and supports the internment of Japanese Americans in WW II. (admittedly an FDR directive) A new low I think. I am biased- my godfather was born in an internment camp.

You can enjoy her drivel on a regular basis in the pile of elephant cum rags known as the New York Post. Best read after dinner if you feel the need to be bulimic.

8:57 pm - The Boondocks sporks Ann Coulter.

Just wanted to point this out in case nobody's seen it - in an upcoming episode of the Boondocks (on Cartoon Network) called "The S-Word", they totally take the piss out of Ann Coulter. Not only do they make fun of her outlandish book titles and, well, the infamous Adam's apple, but they basically conclude that most of her batshittery is because she needs to do something to pay the bills. One of the best quotes in the entire episode: "All I know is they'd better not stop this war in Iraq, or I might have to start stripping".

Anybody else spot any pop culture references to Ann Coulter? The other one off the top of my head is from "Lil Bush", where Senior Bush wants to get to a convention early so he "doesn't have to sit next to that skank Ann Coulter again". They later spell her name as "Anne" in a recap subtitle - whether this was on purpose or not (probably to avoid defamation claims or something), I'm not sure.

5:36 pm - The words of a Fighting Liberal...

Living in a country bought & paid for by the Neocons who own the (not-so-)Grand Old Party & watching how they have done their best to use their total control of the government to take care of their (political) own & to fill the pockets of their corporate cohorts at the expense of the "little guy (and gal)" & run a war of choice based on lies by throwing as much cash & humanity as they can find it has--to say the least--been a little disheartening for progressives (and anyone else who is not part of the Bush Collective) for some time now.

This post (http://stevegilliard.blogspot.com/2003/12/im-fighting-liberal-you-know-ive.html), written by an unabashed LIBERAL, was written over 4 years ago on a blog I just found today. The sentiments Steve Gilliard writes about are still as timely & as important today as they ever were. I read it & I felt refreshed again. It helped me to remember that the fight for what's right & what's moral is ongoing & it is eternal. We don't ever make it to the top of the mountain. We can't allow ourselves to sit still & merely hope for the best. We have to always work at it & we have to always fight against forces that have a vested interest in blocking progress and in taking us backwards. They will never stop, so we must never stop.

I hope you read Steve's blog entry & I hope it gives to you the same desire it gave to me to engage the Good Fight.

What an awesome way to end the old year & prepare for the new.

1:27 pm - Want Ann's home address?

If you didn't hear about Ann Coulter's latest anti-sematic statements, here ya go!

So it takes pissing off the Jewish Community for someone to finally get her off tv?  If only we'd have known sooner....although on the Today show they made a really good point:

She's like Britney Spears.  She doesn't exist unless she's on TV.

11:20 am - Al Franken makes Ann look stupid

This group has been quite a while, and since a friend (non-LJ) pointed this out to me, I thought I'd share:

What historical figure would you be?

Pardon if you've seen it before (or even if this is ancient history - she repeats herself so much it's hard to tell).

1:49 pm - cartoon ideas?

I want to draw a political-type cartoon of mAnn. Only I don't know what I'd like to have her saying or doing, etc. Any suggestions? (I'll be sure to post it in here when I get done.)

12:43 pm - Chirp, Chirp

It's been quiet in here recently...

I did see Ann Coulter on the Today show a few weeks ago, she said a sentence that I agreed with:

They were talking about states creating "official" apologies for slavery.  She said something to the effect of "It's an empty and meaningless gesture."  Which I totally agree, an official apology accomplishes nothing and is just lip service and not any action of social change or responsibility.

However, as soon as I realized I agreed with her, I started to cry.  I called up my mother two states away and left her a message saying that I was scared of the monster I'd become...and what was wrong with me?

My question is, has Ann Coulter ever said something that you agreed with?  What was it and why?
